I submit the following data request pursuant to Section 28 (1) of Act CXII of 2011 on the Right to Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information (hereinafter referred to as the Information Act).

I am contacting you on behalf of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), a United States based civil society organization committed to building an ethical, transparent, and accountable government. CREW uses cutting-edge research, groundbreaking litigation, and innovative policy proposals to advance our mission. As part of this effort, CREW frequently files freedom of information act requests in the United States and uses that information to inform our litigation and produce in-depth research analyses, all of which can be found on our website (www.citizensforethics.org).

Specifically, CREW requests:

1. Any and all documents related to former Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s 2019 and 2025 visits to the United States and the White House, including but not limited to;
a. Communication between the officials of the government of the United States and Prime Minister Orbán or other Hungarian government officials or staff related to the trips,
b. Payments made to or from the government of the United States, or US government officials, and the government of Hungary, or Hungarian government officials.
2. Any and all documents related to former Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s 2024 visit to the United States and President Trump’s property Mar-a-Lago, including but not limited to;
a. Communication between Prime Minister Orbán or other Hungarian government officials or staff and President Trump or members of his staff, related to the trip,
b. Payments made to or from Prime Minister Orbán, the government of Hungary, or Hungarian government officials and President Trump or his businesses.
3. Any and all documents related to US Vice President JD Vance’s April, 2026 visit to Hungary, including but not limited to;
a. Communication between officials of the government of the United States and Prime Minister Orbán or other Hungarian government officials or staff related to the trip,
b. Payments made to or from the government of the United States, or US government officials, and the government of Hungary, or Hungarian government officials.
4. Any and all documents related to Donald Trump Jr.’s April, 2025 visit to Hungary, including but not limited to;
a. Any and all communication between Donald Trump Jr., his staff members and Prime Minister Orbán or other Hungarian government officials or staff related to the trip,
b. Communication between officials of the government of the United States and Prime Minister Orbán or other Hungarian government officials or staff related to the trip.
5. Any and all communication between Prime Minister Orbán’s staff and US Ambassador David Cornstein’s staff mentioning the following;
a. The travel of Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and/or Jared Kushner to Hungary from 2018 through 2020,
b. The business ventures of President Donald Trump within Hungary, including the following companies;
i. World Liberty Financial,
ii. DT Marks DEFI LLC
iii. CIC Digital LLC,
iv. Fight Fight Fight LLC,
v. Celebration Cards, LLC,
vi. The “$TRUMP” coin,
vii. USD1 stablecoin,
viii. Trump Digital Trading Cards (NFTs),
ix. NFT INT LLC,
x. NFT International LLC.

Any and all documents related to the award of Hungary’s Order of Merit to Jared Kushner, including but not limited to internal communications Hungarian government officials and US government officials, or other US citizens.
Any and all materials related to or referencing Jared Kushner and the development of the “Grand Budapest” project
Any and all materials referencing the “Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC)”, including but not limited to documents mentioning the following;
President Trump
Prime Minister Orbán
References of payments made to President Trump from the government of Hungary

According to Section 30 (2) of the Information Act, I request that you send me the copies and other requested data electronically to the sender's e-mail address. If the requested data cannot be sent by e-mail for any reason, I request that you upload them to the website kimittud.atlatszo.hu. Please search for responsive records regardless of format, medium, or physical characteristics. We seek records of any kind, including paper records, electronic records, audiotapes, videotapes, photographs, data, and graphical material.

If the data controller for the contents of this request is not the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I request the appropriate data controller to be identified. Our request includes without limitation all correspondence, letters, emails, text messages, facsimiles, telephone messages, voice mail messages, and transcripts, notes, or minutes of any meetings, telephone conversations, or discussions. Our request also includes any attachments to emails and other records, and anyone who was cc’ed or bcc’ed on any emails.

Pursuant to Section 29 (3) and (5) of the Information Act, compensation for the fulfillment of my data request may only be determined if the fulfillment of the data request involves a disproportionate use of the workforce resources necessary for the performance of the basic activities of the body performing public tasks. In such a case, the data controller is entitled to determine the cost of the workforce expenditure related to the fulfillment of the data request as compensation. Please inform me in advance electronically if you would determine compensation for the requested copies of documents. In this case, I ask that you attach a list of documents to the information, indicating the page number for each document, the amount of the workforce expenditure related to the fulfillment of the data request and its hourly rate.

Please, if you consider only part of the requested data to be accessible, send it to me together with the partial refusal of the data request, pursuant to Section 30 (1) of the Privacy Act. Please note that, according to the position of the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information NAIH/2015/4710/2/V., this data request cannot be refused under Section 29 (1b) of the Privacy Act, as it contains the name and contact details of the data requester. According to the NAIH position, the data controller cannot request the provision of any further data, nor is it entitled to verify the identity.

CREW intends to analyze the information responsive to this request and to share its analysis with the public through reports, press releases, or other means. In addition, CREW will disseminate any documents it acquires from this request to the public through its website, www.citizensforethics.org.
