Invitation to Participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2027 
Dear Krisztina Péntekné Bándy, 
 
 
It is with great warmth and a fair bit of excitement that I write to you today with a 
formal  invitation  for  MTVA  to  rejoin  the  Eurovision  Song  Contest  family.  We  would 
be absolutely delighted to welcome Hungary back to the stage for what promises 
to be a truly special edition: ESC 2027, taking place in Bulgaria for the very first time 
in the Contest's history. 
 
 
Since  its  inception  in  1956,  the  Eurovision  Song  Contest  has  brought  together 
nations through music, creativity, and just the right amount of glorious spectacle. 
Bulgaria's debut as host is a milestone worth celebrating, and we can think of no 
better  way  to  mark  it  than  by  having  Hungary  back  where  it  belongs:  on  the 
Eurovision stage, microphone in hand, ready to shine. 
 
 
Your country's musical talent and the enthusiasm of your fans have been missed, 
and your return would add real depth and colour to the 71st edition of the world’s 
largest live music event. We would love to see MTVA back in the fold, contributing 
to  a  Contest  that  continues  to  inspire,  connect,  and  entertain  millions  across  the 
continent and beyond. 
 
 
We  welcome  any  questions  or  expressions  of  interest  from  your  organisation  and 
would be delighted to discuss your participation at a time that suits you. Should it 
be  helpful,  we  are  also  very  happy  to  talk  through  the  financial  considerations 
associated with taking part.
